Full Membership
Statement of Intent
The benefits and privileges of Full Membership recognise that while growth comes through commitment and collective activity, benefits can only accrue to companies through participation.
Criteria
- A legal entity that is an active manufacturer, marketer, retailer, supplier or wholesale purchaser of product in any of the fashion, textile, carpet, footwear, and apparel industries in New Zealand, can be a Full Member.
- Any trade organisation, union, organisation or individual that has a substantial connection with any of those industries can also be a Full Member.
Members' Benefits
Full Members will:
- be able to fully participate in any programmes and activities undertaken by Textiles New Zealand
- be advised of any Government programmes open to them. General information will be supplied to all members, with some specific targeting of information
- be supplied with regular newsletters covering industry issues and news, and celebrating successes. This may be boosted with emailed newsflashes
- have access, on an individual company basis, to workshops and seminars organised by Textiles New Zealand
- have access, on an individual company basis, to regional-based activities
- be invited to participate in industry-wide task forces or working parties
- benefit from participating in a variety of networking opportunities
- be eligible to attend the Textiles New Zealand AGM with full voting rights
Member's Contributions
Members will be:
- asked to provide company information, on a confidential basis. This information will be compiled into industry data for a variety of uses, such as submissions to the Government and supporting applications for R&D funding. Individual company information will be held strictly confidential
- invited to contribute knowledge and expertise on working parties or task forces to benefit the whole industry
- expected to pay a membership subscription on an annual basis. Payment will provide full voting rights at the AGM
- nvited to contribute to a consultation process on general or specific issues
Member's Rights
Members will be:
- eligible to nominate and vote for board members
- eligible to vote on remits and proposals at the AGM
- eligible to take advantage of programmes organised by Textiles New Zealand open to individual members
- eligible to access industry information compiled by Textiles New Zealand
Subscriptions
Fees for 2009/10 are:
- Businesses with 15 or fewer employees: $50 + GST = $56.25
- Businesses with 16-74 employees: $150 + GST = $168.75
- Businesses with 75 or more employees: $500 + GST = $562.50
- Education Providers: $200 + GST = $225
Financial membership entitles you to joint membership of both Textiles NZ and the Apparel Textiles Industry Training Organisation (ATITO) and full voting rights at the AGM. It is not too late to pay your membership fee, so telephone 027 295 0928 or email elizabeth@textilesnz.org.nz.
Payment can be made by cheque or direct payment to the Textiles New Zealand bank account. If you wish to pay by bank transfer, please contact us and we will provide your with our bank details.
The Full Membership subscriptions will be ratified each year at the AGM, based on a recommendation from the board. The level set will apply for that current year.
Voting on Board Members
Elections will be held every year, in conjunction with Textiles New Zealand's Annual General Meeting for up to five elected Board members.
