AGM  

Textiles NZ holds an AGM each year. The last one was held on 29 September 2009. Over 60 people attended and the theme was “Giving NZ Businesses a Fair Go”. A panel of speakers talked about selling to the NZ Government:

  • Hon. Heather Roy MP, Associate Minister of Defence
  • Mr Michael Bird, Director Industry Policy & Procurement, Minister of Economic Development: Overview of the Governments Procurement Reform Programme
  • Mr Phillip Blundell, Commercial Support Manager, JLSO, NZ Defence Force: Selling to the NZ Defence Force

Membership Fees

The Membership Fees for 2009/10 were ratified:

  • Businesses with 15 or fewer employees: $50 + GST
  • Businesses with 16-74 employees: $150 + GST
  • Businesses with 75 or more employees: $500 + GST
  • Education Providers: $200 + GST
 

 

Board Positions

Elections were held for three positions on the Textiles NZ Board and the following were elected:

  • Cameron King, CEO Fashion Uniforms, Auckland
  • Peter Allard, Managing Director, Charles Parsons Ltd
  • Gerry Voskamp, Chair ATITO

Mr Ben Stockbridge, Long + Cowan Chartered Accountants, was reappointed as Auditor.

Mike Gorinski, CEO of ATITO gave an update on the work of the ATITO
