Textiles NZ Website Trading Platform
Textiles NZ is keen to assist the industry with its Business to Business (B2B) sales and has provided a Trading Platform on its Website for this very purpose. The initiative is to encourage B2B sales, rather than Business to Consumer (B2C) sales.
We hope this can assist members with first grade sales of stock, overstocks, end of lines and cancelled orders. It is amazing how many opportunities actually exist to sell stock in the market via an electronic platform, especially one that links you specifically with the whole textiles sector within the whole country.
The Trading Platform gives you an opportunity to advertise your stock, and because Textiles NZ has a very comprehensive database of the manufacturing and wholesaling (not retail) businesses in the textiles sector all 2000 of them will be encouraged to view your stock on our Trading Platform via our Weekly Newsletter.
Textiles NZ will charge a small listing fee, and the opportunity to list will be made available to all members of Textiles NZ. Textiles NZ will play no role in the sales transaction. Because you will list your own contact details, the prospective buyer will deal with you directly.
The Textiles NZ listing fee is $25 per fabric/product listed, plus GST. You will be notified every two months and asked to specify which products you wish to retain on the Trading Platform for another two months (at no additional cost). We encourage you to notify us once you have sold your products listed so that your listing is kept up-to-date.
If you would like to take up this opportunity to list on the Trading Platform, could you please provide the following information for each of your fabric/product listings for publication on the Trading Platform:-
- The name of the fabric/product
- A description of the fabric/product in fewer that 20 words
- Composition/technical specifications of the fabric/product in fewer that 20 words
- The length of fabric/number of the same items listed
- The name of your company
- Contact details – phone, fax, email, website, name of person to contact, code for your items for sale
- Up to 5 digital photos of each fabric/product. The photos are optional, but will enhance your sale. The photos should be as high resolution as possible and the full pattern/repeat should be evident
Once we have received your information and loaded it on to the Trading Platform, we will ensure it is publicised through our Weekly Newsletter to the industry.
